I'm also trying to lose weight. If I think of any "fun" ideas I will let you know. I would usually say reward yourself each time you lose a certain amount, but that would involve shopping, and since I'm trying to pay off massive credit card debt, it's probably not a good idea!
I am trying to lose 50lb. before I turn 50 in less than 7 months. I only weigh myself once a week. I would concentrate not so much on the scale (muscle weighs more than fat) and more on your clothes. After I work out, at the gym, in the yard, after a bike ride or walk with one hour of sitting on my butt crafting. Think of small rewards that you would like, a manicure/pedicure, a massage...and then set a goal of lbs lost or your skinny jeans beginning to fit better. Just watch out for fattening food rewards.
Hi Leighann! I try to walk semi briskly everywhere instead of driving but that's possible because I live in a small town that also has trails. I don't know if it would work for you where you live. My doctor thought I was an athlete because all the bloodwork etc came back so good. I don't have an athletic bone in my body but that goes to show what regular exercise can do. Walking outdoors is a lot more fun than the treadmill because your scenery changes and keeps things interesting. I'll be following your weightloss journey, cheering you on.
